PhilosophyWe want our floral and vegetal arrangements to express our clients' personalities and the unique spirit of each event. To capture your vision and ensure absolute respect of your schedule and budget we have developed simple yet effective consultation techniques (questionnaires, style guide, color swatches). We work with you to reflect your style, whether you are a neophyte who comes to us with a simple feeling or mood, or a floral connoisseur with specific blooms and arrangements in mind. Flowers offer endless possibilities and we are happy to accommodate your budget. We enjoy working with unusual materials, textures and colors (we love using berries, moss, succulents and exotic vegetals), but are equally thrilled by the beauty of classics like velvety roses or luscious peonies. We pride ourselves on our creativity and attention to detail, which stem from our love of flowers. We have developed several signature looks ranging from sweet, luxurious bouquets to strikingly innovative pavés and are continuously exploring new modes of expression. Our passion for floral design and our boutique approach ensures that each order is unique! |

Colleen HynesColleen was born and raised in southeastern Indiana's Whitewater River Valley. She grew up surrounded by flowers at her parents' rural home and, under her mother's guidance, started arranging wildflowers and blooms from the family's extensive gardens at an early age. Flowers were a significant part of the family fabric, from everyday pitchers of peonies, daisies and black-eyed susans to creative or formal arrangements for dinner parties and celebrations. After living in France (where she created her first "official" bouquet-a clutch of hand-tied ivory roses for a friend's wedding in the gold and white salle des mariages of the town hall), Spain and Ireland, she moved to Austin to pursue a Ph.D. in literature and fell in love with the city's culture and energy. She began her work as a floral designer as a consultant for friends' wedding flowers, then moved on to arrange the flowers for nuptials and parties herself. After taking on her own wedding in April, 2006, she decided to pursue her passion for flowers and joined forces with Chloe Marien-Casey to create Luscious. Colleen sees each event as an opportunity to create a floral narrative-she believes that the individuality of each couple, celebration or event can be reflected through a creative blend of flowers, textures, colors and containers. She has always been strongly influenced by her environment, and carries something special from each place she has had the opportunity to live. She has discovered that she finds inspiration everywhere she looks: in art, literature and film; in the piles of fruits and vegetables at Central Market and the Sunset Valley Farmer's Market; in a bin of antique glass bottles; in the clean lines of her husband's black and white photographs; in the swirl of color on the dance floor at the Broken Spoke and in the overflowing buckets of flora in the cooler of the Austin Flower Company. |

Chloé CaseyBorn in Belgium, raised across Europe and educated in Paris and London, Chloé has developed a distinctive sense of European design. She loves the simple elegance of Parisian flower shops - black walls, crystal chandeliers, zinc buckets, slate signs tucked in bunches of fresh flowers beautifully arranged by color. Chloé first fell in love with floral design as a young girl spending vacations in the family flower shop and exotic garden in Belgium. At a very young age she experienced the thrill of choosing flowers from the back of an overflowing Dutch delivery truck, the excitement of waking up at 4:00 am to visit the flower markets in Brussels, the joy of experimenting with unusual vessels, and especially enjoyed designing naturalistic arrangements and floating floral sculptures in her father's ponds. Her current designs are elegant and rich, and inspired by some of her favorite things:
With such a wide range of influences and a passion for precise and innovative design, her creativity knows no bounds. |
